Spills/pet urine etc: 1. Do not soak the entire area with soapy water, this just drives most smells deeper.. Soak up as much as possible by placing towels over the area and stepping on the towels with your shoes, or pressing with your hands. Do this till you don't get the towel wet anymore. Let the area dry. Then treat with Wurth Super Spray All. 2. Treat the area withWurth Super Spray All.. Remember that you must get any odor removal product as deep as the original problem. To get rid of general smells: 1. Think like a smell! This means to treat any surface that can get the smell on it. Basically the entire interior. Lightly spray the entire interior with the appropriate cleaner. Spray the headliner with Wurth Super Spray All. and rub in lightly with your hand. Don't use a brush on the headliner. Spray the carpets and cloth portions with Wurth Super Spray All and work in with your fingertips. Wipe down vinyl/leather lightly with the Lexol product appropriate for the area with a wash cloth. Remember to clean under the seats, on the package tray, under the dash, being careful not to soak electrical connections. 2. Smells in the HVAC (heater, Vent, A/C) System Create a mix of water and chlorine bleach that is about 2-3% bleach. Put this in a spray bottle. NOTE: always test any item you are using this mixture on for colorfastness. Spray an inconspicuous area first to test. Treat the HVAC system. With someone constantly spraying the intake of the HVAC system (motor off, key on, system being cycled through all modes by someone in the car) through the opening near the base of the windshield, you will get this mixture through the system and this should kill smells in the HVAC. 3. Fresh air is your friend. Try to get the area a dry as possible as soon as possible. Smells will come back sometimes on humid/wet days. IF so, try another treatment. 4. Perfume spills are particularly hard to treat. I recommend using Wurth Super Spray All to get the original spill, then treat with the water/bleach mixture mentioned above. |
